REAL TALK

So fun fact every cross necklace I have ever owned has always broke. For example, yesterday I was trying to fix my necklace (which I bought last weekend) and you’ll never believe it… yes, it broke. But I’m honestly so glad it did. Because as I looked at my broken necklace, I saw my broken relationship with God. It’s not fun admitting that, but here lately me and JC have not been where we need to be. But one of the beauties of God is He speaks to you through the weirdest things, such as my broken necklace. He pointed out to me that I need to fix my relationship with him, just like I need to fix my necklace.

So here we go…

Being a Christian in this world is hard. It’s literally like riding a rollercoaster. One moment you are on the very top, so close and intimate with God and then all of a sudden you are at the very bottom stuck. Stuck and not sure what to do. Not sure how you even got to this place. Then these worldly distractions come around and let’s be honest… When you are in this moment of stagnation, the worldly distractions are A LOT more pleasing than opening your Bible or making time to pray. When this starts to happen, you drift. You drift and drift and drift to where you are stuck in the middle of the ocean and have no idea how to get back to shore.

I don’t know about you but being in this state of condition is absolute awful. But it’s truly inevitable. Every Christian goes through this. Maybe you haven’t yet, but it is going to come. That’s life here on earth.

So now what…

GOD.

No matter how far you drift from the shore or how long you are stuck at the bottom of the rollercoaster, God is always going to be there. HE NEVER LEAVES. That’s so easy to forget. We get so consumed with the world and we feel like we are so far away from God that we will never get back, but people HE NEVER LEAVES. He is always going to be right beside you.

All we have to do is run. Run to God. Pray and ask for forgiveness and run back to God.

It’s not easy. it’s not easy at all, but that doesn’t matter. What matters is that it’s possible. You can be stuck in the middle of the Pacific and still return to shore. You can be so far from God and still return home. God is loving, forgiving, merciful, constant, still, and praise the Lord He is accepting.

Today if you are feeling like you have drifted and there’s no hope. THERE IS HOPE!! There is so much hope for you! Just say YES and return to God. He is patiently waiting.

Repent. Pray. Return.
